Terry has been Cornerstone's senior pastor since 2007 and is passionate about preaching through the Bible in an understandable and transformational manner. He is also committed to inspiring Christ-followers to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and has led by example taking over 15 short term mission trips to Russia, India, American inner cities, and Navajo Indian reservations throughout the years.
He served in his first church for nearly 25 years before coming to Cornerstone, is an M.Div. graduate of Grace Theological Seminary, and has served on numerous national and district boards for the EFCA.
Terry is an avid golfer, savors spending time with his wife, Karol, and is so grateful for his 3 Iowa kids, their spouses, and six grandkids.
Director of Ministries
Doug joined Cornerstone's staff in 2018 specifically to help the church live out its new mission, vision, core values, strategic priorities, and tactical plan. Before this, God used Doug to coach Cornerstone to write these important plans in response to a thoughtful "Discovery Process" that discerned God's movements. By God's grace and with Doug's help, Cornerstone is in a renewed season of adjusting to follow God in His plans for our church. All this builds upon Doug's varied experience as an executive in the corporate world, entrepreneur, farm hand, staff pastor, chaplain, and non-profit ministry founder and president.
When he's not serving God at Cornerstone, Doug creates and shows sculpture across the country. He also enjoys outdoor activities, time with friends, small group, and going to the beach.
